Nico Cathcart x DSDI
DSDI returned to Streetwise Mural Festival 2024 in Boulder, CO to collaborate on bringing Nico Cathcart's stunning mural of Lorelei Cloud of the Southern Ute Clan to life.
Lorelei was nominated by the Native American Rights Federation as a woman leading the climate conversation in Colorado.
With the use of a BenQ projector and prepared visuals in TouchDesigner, this project came to life with the core DSDI team and the addition of past projection mapping workshop students to execute this collaboration.
Dairy Block:
After Dark
Night market hosted by Dairy Block and curated by Fireside at Five
DSDI joined Fireside at Five and Dairy Block to bring a 6 story mural by Magik Studios to life on the side of The Maven Hotel.
This two part series included 25+ layers of mapping along with curated visuals from the DSDI and Dairy Block teams. This project was executed using one BenQ projector and TouchDesigner for projection mapping.
The Yearbook Project
Alexia Barreiro x DSDI
DSDI had the pleasure of hosting the first ever Yearbook Project event in the gallery space which included collaborations from 24 local artists from musicians to photographers and illustrators.
Alexia Barreiro completed this mural on the outside of DSDI gallery and set the stage for this memorable collaboration. This pop-up project was mapped using a BenQ standard throw projector and TouchDesigner with open source/created visuals.
DSDI Astronaut
AG_PNT x DSDI
AG_PNT finished a commissioned astronaut mural on the studio space in 2023 and DSDI completed this in house collaboration with the use of a BenQ ultra-short throw projector and TouchDesigner.
This was the first studio collaboration in the DSDI studio space, "The Drive-In".
Monday Night Activism Series
Various Artists x DSDI
In 2020 DSDI created a platform for activism artists to share their voices in light of the country wide protests. Every Monday for 9 months DSDI curated and projected activism photography, poetry, paintings, videos, and more to promote positive change in local/national/international communities. The platform welcomed organizations and artists such as Justice for Elijah McClain Campaign and Colorado Poet Laureate, Bobby LeFebre to share or provide a space for community to gather. Services provided included high lumen projection and weekly arts curation.
Larimer Square
Holiday Celebration in Denver, CO
Fireside at Five hosted 2022 holiday programming in Larimer Square in which DSDI was invited to provide holiday content alongside the evening market taking place in the square. Services included content creation, projection mapping, and high lumen projection.
Streetwise Mural Festival
Arts Festival in Boulder, CO
DSDI provided accessible new media content & equipment to this local arts festival in 2022 to create a large scale immersive environment for murals while also providing outdoor exposure for digital content artists. Services provided include projection mapping, AR content hosting, and high lumen projection.
